Start with Core Benefit Selections
With HM Care Advantage, employers can select benefit options to build customized plans to help meet their unique needs and budget.
HM Care Advantage’s core benefits can be designed to address common health care needs – doctor visits, outpatient testing, inpatient hospitalization, plus an additional benefit for the first day of hospital admission and surgery with anesthesia coverage. Within the core product, employers can select the number of visits and the dollar amount per visit to be paid. This allows you to design a plan that can meet the group’s health care needs and premium requirements.
In addition, COBRA administration is built into every policy, alleviating the employer’s need to institute separate COBRA administration.
Services that are part of every core plan include a 24/7 toll-free telephone service with health coaches who provide information and support for health-related concerns. Also included are access to online health information and discounts for pharmacy and vision services plus fitness and wellness products and services. All of these services and discounts are available on a national basis.
Benefit Options
In addition to the core benefits, employers can select options to enhance their plan by adding emergency room visits and insured pharmacy, dental and vision coverage. They also select the number of visits and the amount of coverage for each benefit. This puts the employer in control of the offering. Depending on the size of the employer group, up to three plans can be designed and offered to the same group.
As an indemnity fixed dollar plan, HM Care Advantage can make payments directly to providers and also to the covered member when the plan coverage amount exceeds the amount charged by the provider.
