Employee/Retiree Administration
HM Insurance Group (HM) offers an array of administrative services that can be customized to meet client needs. Our knowledgeable, friendly staff is focused on meeting the needs of the customer in a quick, accurate manner.
The scope of the services HM provides includes the following:
Retiree/Benefit Billing
- Provide and maintain billing and membership database of participants
- Establish health care contribution amounts based on plan rates
- Monitor enrollment, collect premiums and issue 30-day late and 60-day cancellation notices
Membership Administration
- Maintain participant information
- Transfer eligibility electronically
- Provide pension deduction information
- Provide membership reports on an as-needed basis
- Process requests for Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and medical claim forms
Life Insurance Administration
- Maintain participant database, including coverage amounts and beneficiary designations
- Distribute beneficiary packets upon death and coordinate submission of life insurance claim
- Maintain the history of life insurance payments
Annual Enrollment Services
- Administer open enrollments
- Design and print open enrollment election forms
- Process completed elections
- Electronically transmit enrollee election information to vendors
- Produce confirmation statements
- Collect benefit premiums through automatic checking or savings account deductions or coupon books
