HM Insurance Group Acquires Stop Loss Block from Mutual of Omaha
PITTSBURGH (June 17, 2010) — In a move that will place HM Insurance Group among the largest employer stop loss carriers in the U.S., it was announced today that HM Life Insurance Company has reached an agreement with Mutual of Omaha to acquire its employer stop loss line of business for an undisclosed amount.

PITTSBURGH (June 10, 2010) — HM Insurance Group is offering unlimited lifetime maximum Stop Loss coverage for self-funded groups to help employers meet the mandates of the recently enacted Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Effective immediately, new and renewal* policies can be written with an unlimited lifetime maximum and no annual maximum, subject to state regulatory approvals.

HM Increases Premium Discount for Limited Benefit Medical Plans
PITTSBURGH (Jan. 9, 2008) — In a decision designed to make it easier for employers to offer limited medical insurance to uninsured workers, HM Life Insurance Company announced that rates for its limited benefit medical plan, HM Care Advantage, will be decreased by 25 percent when employers pay 100 percent of the premium.

PITTSBURGH (Oct. 16, 2006) — HM Insurance Group, a Highmark Company, announced today that an agreement has been reached by its subsidiary HM Life Insurance Company to acquire Risk Based Solutions, LC (RBS Re) for an undisclosed amount of cash. RBS Re is one of the leading managers and underwriters of HMO reinsurance in the United States.

HM Insurance Group Rolls Out New Limited Benefit Medical Product
PITTSBURGH (May 12, 2006) — HM Insurance Group announced today that it has added a limited benefit medical product to its portfolio of health risk solutions. A group indemnity plan, HM Care Advantage is designed to help employers bridge the gap for employees who traditionally have not had employer-sponsored health insurance available to them.

Highmark Life & Casualty Group Changes Name to HM Insurance Group
PITTSBURGH (April 4, 2006) — Highmark Life & Casualty Group announced today that it has changed its company name to HM Insurance Group. The name change reflects HM Insurance Group's focus on products that create health risk solutions that can reduce gaps in health benefit coverage.
